Theatre: it can inspire curiosity, fascination, fear. It’s new, mysterious, intriguing.
Through games, movement, mime, masks, costumes, role play and improvisation children of 8 to 12 approach the magical world of theatre, gaining self confidence, having fun, making friends, cooperating in a team and improving their English in the most natural and motivating way possible. The audience won’t believe their eyes and ears at the final show!
The course is geared to the needs and skills of kids aged 13 to 18. Growing abilities in individual expression are encouraged through role play, improvisation, team work and the creation of a full stage show, nearly always a lively musical. The construction of the show is followed through in its every aspect: choice of play, scripting, casting, creation of character, music, choreography, costumes, lighting, publicity and the final, exciting theatrical production.
We welcome people from all walks of life, from English teachers to bankers, scientists, clerks … beginners work beside experts, each learning from the other. We follow through every aspect of theatre, beginning with exercises in voice production, pronunciation, movement, role play, improvisation, encouraging not only the individual but the idea of team work. The success of our final show always amazes the audience, and especially the actors themselves!
